Overview
Salt mining and processing in the Great African Rift Valley
This project establishes a large-scale salt mining and processing facility in Western Uganda using brine resources from Lake Bunyampaka. It will produce iodized table salt, industrial salt, and animal feed salt to meet domestic demand and reduce imports.
With integrated packaging and value-addition infrastructure, the project contributes directly to Uganda's industrialization and supply-chain resilience.
